EveryCat Health Foundation advances feline health by supporting groundbreaking research and education. Every cat, every day benefits from our foundation and has for the last 54 years.
From the beginning, clinical health and disease research has driven EveryCat Health Foundation’s mission to improve the health and welfare of all cats. Year after year, we fund innovative health studies that advance veterinary knowledge and expertise, changing the way feline medicine is practiced. We’re proud to be the world’s only nonprofit foundation committed solely to supporting feline health research.
Our grants support broad research topics. Research grant proposals can address any issue that potentially benefits any aspect of feline health and well-being, such as:
- Disease identification
- Diagnostics and treatment
- Nutrition
- Behavior
Though studies that benefit all cats are preferred, we’re also interested in breed- and disease-specific research.
Investigators from across the world conduct feline health studies supported by EveryCat Health Foundation grants. Applicants for grant funding may be:
- Faculty veterinarians
- Post-doctoral fellows
- Practicing veterinarians
- Veterinary students
Additionally, collaborative teams involving investigators from a variety of disciplines and/or institutions — including human health researchers — are encouraged to apply.
Project selection for all grants is based on strict criteria, including:
- Scientific merit
- Value to feline health
- Clinical relevance
- Budgetary soundness
- Humane guidelines
